Adopting the athletic-style sole is tricky for a missionary. While there are a some mission presidents who don't mind the white color soles, there are many who will tell you a firm "No" on the spot when they see them. So we opted to go with the colored soles so you have the same comfort as the other shoes without the possibility of them being rejected by the mission president.
